In Washington Nationals action, the Nats lost 5-1 on Sunday to the Mets. Mets DeGrom hits a HR and dominated through the game onto the win. Nats will face the Miami Marlins tonight. Stay tuned. In O's action they won 8-5 over the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. O's Mark Trumbo hit a 2 run hr time help his team onto victory in interleague action. O's will face the Cleveland Indians tonight. Stay tuned.

In U.S. Open action Brooks Koepka won the 2017 open. He finished with -16 under par.

#DCNowSports Wrap-up June 13th - 16th 2017

This is Chris Mac with your sports wrap up on DC now radio DC now sports. 

 The Golden State Warriors are the new champions of the NBA. They defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-120 to win 4-1 over the Cavaliers. Kevin Durant was named MVP of the finals. He scored 39 pts in the win. LeBron James of Cleveland scored a double-double with 41 pts, and 13 rebounds in the loss.

 In Nats action they lost 11-10 to the Braves on Monday.

The Cleveland Cavaliers lost game 3 Sunday night to the Boston Celtics 111-108. Celtics Avery Bradley hit the game-winning shot at end of 4th qtr for the victory. Lebron had a dismal 11 pts in the loss. Stay tuned for Game 4.

Monday night game 4 in San Antonio, for the Western Conference Finals between the Golden St. Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs. The Warriors look to sweep the Spurs and move on to the NBA Finals for a 3rd consecutive year. According to reports, Spurs Kahwii Leonard will be out for game 4. Still nursing a bad sprain ankle he sustained in Game 1 of the series.

 In NCAA Men's college basketball tournament, the number seeds are available. They are, Villanova, Kansas, UNC, and Gonzaga. Defending ACC champion Duke Blue Devils are 2nd seed in the east and could face Villanova in the elite 8. Stay tuned. 

 In golf action at the pga tour, Canada's Adam Hadwin wins the 2017 Valspar Championships. His final score -14 under par. USA's Patrick Cantlay came in 2nd place, his score -13 under par. 

 In NBA action the Boston Celtics who just like the Washington Wizards coming closer to the top spot with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference won 100-80 over the Chicago Bulls. Celtics Isaiah Thomas scored 22 pts in the win. 

 In NFL news, according to sources, the Dallas Cowboys are still trying to trade QB Tony Romo. If they can't they will release him. And in Washington Redskins news, QB kirk cousins signed the franchise tender but could be traded. Stay tuned for more on this development on upcoming sports wrap ups.

The Washington Wizards begin their west coast trip. They will be at the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday evening. The Wizards are 37-24, number 3rd seed so far this season in the Eastern Conference.

In Washington Redskins news, according to sources the team has franchised quarterback Kirk Cousins again for a 2nd consecutive year. A source tells chris mac that the team maybe exploring a trade for Cousins upcoming.

And N0.1 ranked golfer in the world Dustin Johnson won the 2017 World Gold Championships in New Mexico, Mexico. His final score was -14 under par. He won 1.7 million.

In nba news, according to sources the Orlando Magic traded forward Serge Ibaka to the Toronto Raptors for small forward Terrence Ross and a 2017 first round pick. Ibaka was traded from OKC Thuder during this past offseason. In other news Cleveland Cavs forward Kevin Love will be out for 6 weeks for surgery on his knee. On Thursday evening the Wizards will be at the Indiana Pacers. The Wizards are 33-21 in 3rd place in the eastern conference standings. In first place in the southeast division by 1 and a half games over the Hawks. And in NHL action the 39-11 Washington capitals will be at the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday evening.
